Background

Established in 1972, Palmer Trinity School is an Episcopal Middle and Upper School located in Palmetto Bay, an area south of downtown Miami, Florida. The school's curriculum is based on a program that stresses diversity, personal growth, inquiry-based thinking, and global citizenship. Palmer Trinity offers an extensive academic program, and students are encouraged to use their talents in the service of others with an emphasis on community service.

Recent renovations and improvements in campus planning prompted school officials to review their current radio communication system. The analog system in use at that time did not provideadequate coverage across the school's campus, performed poorly, and was unreliable.
 

Background

ThedaCare™ is a community health system consisting of seven hospitals and 35 clinics across 14 counties in Northeastern Wisconsin. It is the third largest health care employer in the state, with approximately 6,800 employees serving over 235,000 patients. The Appleton Medical Center is an integral part of the ThedaCare health system, specializing in cancer, heart, and orthopedic care. The analog radios being used by the security staff were not providing adequate coverage throughout the center, with communication lapses and poor audio quality. Additionally, they were looking for a radio system that would allow secure communications between Appleton and two other hospitals in the ThedaCare system.

The North Star Mohican Casino Resort, located on 20 acres of land in northern Wisconsin, features a Las Vegas-style casino and a full-service resort with 130 hotel rooms. Other amenities include a spa, several conference rooms, additional gaming space, as well as diverse dining and entertainment venues. The 600,000-square-foot facility employs a staff of over 400, and is committed to providing the highest level of service to its customers in a prompt and professional manner.

After incorporating a new property into its already extensive complex, North Star realized it would have to replace its VHF analog two-way radio system in order to broaden coverage. The analog system was unable to provide the coverage and signal strength needed to effectively handle the communication challenges of its expanding facility. In addition, each of the eleven departments within the organization had its own set of requirements to be considered, such as security and privacy issues. The new system would have to be a flexible, scalable solution that could take them from the present into any future expansion.
 

Background

St. Vincent's Hospital is one of five medical facilities that are part of the St. Vincent's Health System in Birmingham, Alabama.  Located on a sprawling campus surrounded by numerous multi-story buildings, the hospital faced new communications challenges when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandated migration to Narrow banding in 2013. The radio system in place at that time was unable to adequately handle the change, resulting in coverage gaps, signal loss, and  interference between systems and frequencies caused by numerous separate repeaters.  In addition,  new HIPAA requirements regarding Patient Protective Information came into effect, addressing the  security of the use of radios in direct patient care roles. St. Vincent's was looking for a  cost-effective, scalable system that could be easily integrated into facilities that might be
acquired in the future.

Since1888, this charity has been providing socia assistance to millions of Ecuadorians in the areas of health, education, elderly care and funeral service which has led this organization to become the largest NGO in Ecuador and an important one in Latin America.
